DNA Gene Test

By doing a simple once-only saliva test, you can discover your DNA blueprint and learn how well your genes are matched to your present diet and lifestyle, as well as how you can unlock the full potential of your current and future health and wellness.

This saliva test has been designed to include the most appropriate gene panels to assess your health. Each panel tests those genes that can be influenced by nutrition, lifestyle, and exercise. A comprehensive report enables me to create a protocol tailored specifically to your individual needs.

This state-of-the-art genetic testing truly is preventative medicine at its best. The panels included are:

  • Lipid (Cholesterol) Profiling
  • Diabetes and Metabolic Syndrome
  • High Blood pressure risk
  • Phase I and Phase II Detox (Anti-ageing)
  • Oxidative Stress
  • Homocysteine profiling
  • Inflammation
  • Specific nutrient needs (There are genetic makers associated with lower levels of vitamins B2, B6, B12, C, D and E)
  • Lactose Intolerance risk
  • Coeliac Disease risk
  • Bone health – risk/prevention of osteoporosis
  • Weight & Exercise Management
  • Caffeine metabolism
  • Stress responses

To understand more about your genes, it is important to know that our unique genetic make-up, which is what we are born with, is like our hard drive – and represents our health potential for life. To function optimally in our environment, our genes have ‘epigenomes’, which are parts of our genes that interact with the environment and causes our genes to be ‘triggered’ – otherwise known as ‘epigenetics’ or our software. Therefore, the expression of our DNA is actually controlled by signals from outside each cell – which primarily come from our diet, lifestyle and environmental exposures.

Urine Analysis Test

You can learn a lot about a patient from their urine. When the body is getting rid of its waste products it carries them in the blood to the kidneys. The kidneys act like a selective sieve. They let the toxic chemicals and excess liquid out, but retain some fluid and important minerals. If something is not working as it should do, you can usually get clues about the kind of problem by analysing the urine.

The tests check colour, odour and degree of cloudiness of the urine, identify the pH level, the presence of infection. They also detect and measure a variety of cells and substances in the urine. Examples are protein, sugar, liver products, and blood cells. Some of the findings relate to kidney or urinary tract disorders. Other findings relate to digestive organs. Additional tests screen the purification of protein in the gastrointestinal tract. A positive test reflects a state of intestinal bacterial dysbiosis, identifies bowel toxicity and malfunctioning of the digestion process, e.g. is the liver tired or toxic, is the pancreas producing quality enzymes, is there a problem with the gallbladder or stomach digestion. The tests are also beneficial to monitor the progress during a gut detoxification process.
